Caloroga Shark Media. Hi there, I’m Johnny Mac with your Daily Comedy News. Late Nighter reports there are fake Jimmy Kimmel monologues on YouTube. Yeah, this is insane to me. Late Nighter reports.

In just the last two weeks, Fake Jimmy Kimmel has weighed in on Donald Trump dozing off at Lindsey Graham’s funeral. Fake Jimmy Kimmel has covered Rand Paul’s Senate confrontation with Anthony Fauci, and Fake Jimmy Kimmel discussed the Justice Department dropping charges related to the vandalizing of the reflecting pool, which of course is not one happened. This is nuts. Late Nighter tells us dozens of AI generated videos have been using Kimmel’s voice face is familiar monologue set up to deliver commentary. The videos have been posted across at least half a dozen YouTube channels, packaged with thumbnails designed to match those used by Kimmel’s show Boy, What a nightmare?

How do you slap that down? Wow? Late Night Or writes The fakery becomes more apparent upon closer inspection. The synthetic Kimmel stands in his usual monolog position, but gestures oddly, often emphasizing the wrong words. After about ten seconds, he disappears altogether, leaving the clone voice to continue over news footage.

The clips contain few actual jokes, no audience reaction, and none of the conversational rhythm of Kimmel’s actual monologues. I wonder who’s behind this. Part of me thinks it’s just aislop to make some money, and others wonder. Huh. I wonder who might be trying to make Jimmy Kimmel look bad.

One video I’m gonna choose not to name it collected eight hundred thousand views over four days before disappearing. Wow, what a nightmare. Huh. Chelsea Handler is not happy that Joe Rogan made the list of highest paid podcasters of twenty twenty six. That list had Joe Rogan at number one, supposedly making eighty two million dollars with his podcast The Joe Rogan Experiences.

So that list came out on Forbes. Chelsea Handler jumped in on the comments and wrote, who is paying Joe Rogan eighty two million dollars? Give that two our vets and our children. On Instagram, Chelsea Handler wrote eighty two million to be completely uninformed and say whoopsie doodle every time he’s wrong, which is frequent frequent in all caps. Here’s the thing.

Let me explain how this works to Chelsea Handler. See what you do is you put out a podcast. A certain number of people downloaded, stream it, consume it, listen to it, etc.

And then you may choose to put advertising in your podcast.

Personally, I have chosen to put advertising in my podcast. The advertisers pay on what’s called a CPM model cost per thousand lazy math. If you want to compute all this, use twenty dollars as your CPM. So, for example, if Daily Comedy News has one thousand listeners and you wanted to reach them at a twenty dollars CPM, you would give me twenty dollars for the advertisement. Details vary.

There are things called programmatic ads that pay less. I’m not going to do a podcasting class here. You may pay more for an endorsement. Like if I say, hi, I’m Johnny Mac and I’m telling you that the best widget in the world is the ACME Widget Company, and I’m using all my credibility to tell you this, you would pay more than the say twenty dollars for that, or there might be a premium environment. Say you have a show about I don’t know painting, and you sell paint for a living, you might want to reach a particular audience and pay even more for that.

Or Joe Rogan is the number one show, so by getting a lot of listeners, Chelsea, he makes a lot of money in advertising, and that is how Joe Rogan makes money. Sebastian Maniscalco is considering going completely bald. On this week’s episode of The Sebastian Maniscalco Show, Sebastian co host Pete Gorieli The Gator consulted on air with a Beverly Hills based hair transplant surgeon. Sebastian said he had undergone a hair transplant eight years ago. The group debated whether or not Sebastian should shave his head in preparation for a possible second hair transplant.

Sebastian asked the doctor, So, if I go completely bald and you do the proizure, when can I be stage ready? The doctor said, I give it seven days. You have enough beautiful pigments that redness shouldn’t be as bad. Sebastian was curious what shaving his head would entail. He asked, when you say shaved head, are you taking down a street level with mock three blade and I’m completely bald?

Are you taking it down to the lowest cut on an electric The answer is Sebastian would be left with one millimeter of hair. The doctor said the transmitted hair is the same size. After one week, you’ll look pretty decent because you’ll look like you have a buzz cut. Sebastian said seeing himself bald could be helpful for the future. I’m doing the shave to see what I look like bald, and if I like what I look like bald, I’m not gonna be too worried about losing hair in the future, right.

Pete Corilia the Gator, said that’s a good way to look at it. Two Birds, One Stone. Mo Gilligan’s Chicken Thing is out on Netflix. Moe learned a lot about chicken, including you know, one of the ingredients. They also put it in condoms for lubrication.

Who knew that went into a burger? So many things go into it that are artificially engineered to give you a better experience and get you to come back for more. He told the Sun, you know again, that’s a newspaper, not the thing that can us warm and gives us light. Most said the idea of being paid to eat fried chicken might have sounded like a dream, but it turned out to be more like a nightmare. Again, Morgan Spurlock did this already, Guys.

Look, I do a job that’s very front facing it in the public eye. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t care about my image, especially if I’m eating fried chicken every day. Eating the food was something that I was a bit self conscious of, but also knowing in the space of a few days, I went from a large in my T shirt to an extra large because of what I’m eating. Dude, I do that once a week. Early in the week, I’m pretty good about my running and my eating, and then by the weekend it’s like Friday pizza.

Dude, this is nothing new. Mogilligan added, as a black British comedian, it was important for me to challenge the stereotypes around black people and fried chicken, unpack where those ideas came from, and reclaim a dish that’s part of a much bigger story than the one we’ve been told. I met some incredible people along the way, from historians and farmers to nutrition experts and industry insiders. Every conversation taught me something. This is probably the most exposing thing I’ve ever done, and I can’t wait for you all to see it.

Bohen Yang is heading to Broadway. He’s going to play Mary’s Tod Lincoln. Heard me correctly. He will play Mary Todd Lincoln in Oh Mary. It’s not the first time he was offered the role.

Last summer, he was offered to do it, but he was planning on returning to Saturday Night Live. Boone Yang said, I was too yoked to that time frame to give myself the proper runway. I was not going to take a Broadway debut without the utmost seriousness and gravitas and respect. Now he’s getting his chance. Starting September fifteenth, Bowen Yang will take over a role that’s been played by people including Jane Krakowski, Maya, Rudolph, Megan Stantler, drag Icon Jinx month Soon.

Casting director Henry Russell Bergstein said, you need a one of a kind performer and someone who knows how to handle doing eight shows a week. Amy Pohler is coming to New York City’s Town Hall on Tuesday. Get your wallet ready if you want to see Amy Pohlar record a podcast. She’s not in the basement. She’s selling tickets.

I mean, if you want to come, I’ll I guess I could charge your ten bucks to stare at me while I record comedy headlines. If that’s something you really want to do, we can talk. But if you want to go see Amy Pohle or the New York Posts as the lowest price they could find for tickets on seat geek was three hundred and forty six dollars including fees. Orchestra seats start at five hundred and thirty three dollars including fees. That, of course, is insane bad news for the Lester Comedy Festival.

Apparently the folks at the Big Difference Company are having some financial problems. They announced with great sadness that they had become insolvent. The directors of the festival, which started in nineteen ninety four, cited increasing costs, a difficult funding environment, and significant pressures within the live comedy sector. We are starting to see some comedy festival struggle. That’s really interesting.

There was a lot of strength in that after the pandemic, and now it seems like not so smooth sailing. Paul Shear’s comedy series Dinks has been green lit by Amazon. Now Dinks should not be confused with the Dink, which is a thing on Apple. I’m glad they pointed that out because I already confused them. I blew the story off once because I saw this and I was like, no, that already exists.

This is old news. But no, the Dink is already out. Dink’s dual income No Kids is an improv comedy series starring Paul Sheer. The improvised multi camera sitcom follows Josh and Surely, a couple who, in the absence of marriage your Kids, decide to literally build a life together by renovating their nightmare of a dream house. A previous version of Dinks, which was called a Lot, was set up at CBS with a presentation as proof of concept.

Apparently CBS was not impressed. Kameil Non Jihanni will make his directorial debut with the upcoming horror comedy Howl. In How kameil on Jihanny, he not only directs, he plays a troubled actor who makes a bombshell announcement on a talk show. He is a werewolf and he’s going to transform in one hour on live TV. That sounds fun.

That’s been acquired by Amazon, MGM’s Ryan Pictures, And that is your comedy news for today. Now, coming up this weekend, the Deep Dives are back. I got some notes people like the deep dives. And because Saturday is Jay Leno Day, we’re going to do a deep dive on jay Leno, but none of the tonight show stuff everything else. So that’ll be Saturday tomorrow, a normal episode and I will see you then
