The Shark Deck. Hello Johnny Mac with your daily commenty Hews, listen to this one, Leslie David Baker. You’re like, who’s that Stanley from the Office. Now you know who I’m talking about? Right, Well, he’s announced he’s giving back more than one hundred thousand dollars in crowdfunding money to fans who had supported his efforts to make a TV spinoff sort of based on the character.

You know. I’m sure in a legally distinct way, the character would have been called Uncle Stan, who would have more or less been Stanley from the Office. Uncle Stan would have centered on a retired guy named Stanley who was recruited by his nephew to help watch his two kids and run his motorcycle slash flower shop. The initial goal of the kickstarter was three hundred thousand dollars. Baker posted, we apologize about the delay in updates.

We’ve been working behind the scenes to get everything on track and rewards fulfilled. We are just as excited as all of you to get this project out and truly appreciate all your patients and support. The project took longer than anticipated due to circumstances beyond our control. The initial delays were called by the COVID lockdowns. Baker said he still has every intention to make the show, but the ongoing writers and actors strike has put another wrench in things now, leading to the series quote to be on hold indefinitely until an arrangement is reached.

After careful consideration, we’ve decided to refund our backers. All right, that’s pretty cool. He’s are short donors. They’ll still receive the campaign’s promotional awards. Baker adds, in light of the current economic situation, we felt this was the best course of action.

You’ll receive a message notifying you of your refund as soon as it’s issued, and you can expect receive it over the following weeks. Whilst be contacting Kickstarter to facilitate expediting this matter, we remained in constant communication with our backers via direct messaging, and rewards have continued to be filled during this time. Baker revealed that the amount to be returned is one hundred and ten thousand dollars in change. Despite rights decider, the Kickstart a campaign page displaying a total funded amount of three hundred and thirty six thousand and change. Baker said a large portion of backers.

Pledges were lowered or completely dropped and never collected once the campaign was completed. In twenty twenty, Baker began teasing a potential return of stan in a series of videos shared on a social media and one he and character says, Yeah, I’m back and I’m gonna need a cocktail if I’m staying. I don’t recall hearing about this before, and you know, maybe I’m not awesome, but I do do this every day. So very strange story there. The v Club said there was another idea that he had called Stanley Nichols, which was a cryptocurrency he rolled out in twenty twenty one.

Who knows The Press Democrat spoke to Nick Kroll, who was in Nappa last week. He encountered the Napple pedal crusher, party bike, and a dog and a vest. He made fun of all that on Instagram. On Instagram, Kroll did his big mouth character Lola and play acted as a Napa Valley tourist getting absolutely hammered while driving a collective bike. Later in the week, role posted another Instagram of his driving escapades, doing Lola’s voice again to explain how he wants to drink Chardonnay with a dog and a vest.

He added, that’s Napa Baby. Get Real. Iglesias is on Craig Ferguson’s podcast. I listened to that on Saturday and enjoyed it a lot. Fluffy was up at the National Comedy Center in Jamestown, New York, and he cut the ribbon on a new display featuring the Jersey he War during his record breaking sold out performance at Dodger Stadium in twenty twenty two.

Gleasia said he was honored to be part of the center. Yeah, it’s been twenty six years. When I started, I had hair, hope, happiness, a house. I had all those things. Now we’re here.

But thank you very much. I hope everybody continues to come out and support this because it’s incredible, especially in a time now where censorship for some reasons becoming a thing again. I think it’s supporting the sea where it was, where it goes, and what it could be. Joel Mchal and Beck Bennett are starring in a new TV movie It’s going to be a Comedy Central. Well, Matthews is the real ability to develop an instant rapport with a room that is born of her natural warmth and naked honesty, combining a relaxed charm with a syring wit, and she makes the deeply personal feel like universal truth. You’ll find her at Monkey Barrel Comedy.

Meanwhile, the gilded balloon pattern Who’s you’ll find Bishops?

The description here seemingly influenced by everyone from Samuel Beckett to Scooby Doo. Sentence you known’t often say. Bishops are such a knowing meta theatrical example of a fringe sketch act that their debut features them being reviewed and accepting an award. With layers built upon layers and constant rub pulls. Chris Kurrn and Noah Matthews don’t lack ambition for the form, but it’s all done with an enjoyably light touch, and they avoid pretentiousness thanks to their instinctive goofiness.

Every it involves them cheekily peeping out from behind the mass of their characters, maintaining a running commentary on the success or otherwise of the conceit that sounds like a lot of fun. Bishops is the name of that show.

Also at Monkey Barrel, Crystal Evans show is called The Hottest Girl at Burde…

Edinburgh based American comic Crystal Evans at a difficult decision to make regarding her full Fringe debut, whether or not to lay bare the massive trauma of her teenage life. Evans was fourteen when a fire destroyed her family’s mobile home, leaving her badly burned. She’s extracted just about as much comedy as she can from this seismic incident. She’s a strong storyteller with an appealing blend of sly pluckish, witten down earth cynicism. If you’re in Brooklyn, the Chosen Comedy Festival is happening tonight.

Kate mccuchee, you know her from Garfunkel and Oates and also Big Bang Theory. She’s selling her house. She had bought a three bedroom retro home in twenty nineteen for a one point eight million dollars. It’s listed for three and a half million dollars. Nice upgrade there.

The sf Gate tells us they completed a major restoration, returning a living room back to its original footprint, among other improvements. Apparently one point seven million dollars worth of improvements. And Variety wrote about TikTok lest you think TikTok is ridiculous Variety Rights.
