The Shark Deck, Johnny Man would You Daily Comedy News? THEO Van had Hulk Hogan on his podcast and they started talking about Hogan’s wrestling career and the topic shifted to Hulk’s girlfriend, Sky Daily. Hulk said she’s been around me a little bit now. THEO said she’s beautiful. THEO continued to praise her beauty, but then THEO suggested she’s better than Hulk is and looks, and that caused Hogan appears slightly offended.
Would there be some fisticuffs or is Hogan a professional wrestler who knows? But Hulk quickly clarified that THEO Van is not his type and playfully advised him to hold his horses back. Rain Wilson was up at Just for Laughs last week and said, I literally made dozens and dozens of headlines when I revealed on Bill Maher’s Drunken Smoky Rambling podcast that I had been deeply unsatisfied at times while working on the office. Dozens of dozens of outrage inducing clickbait articles for digital surfing pleasure, Yeah, including podcasts talking about it. Wait what the weird guy from the office was making millions and getting nominated for the Emmys, and he was unhappy.
The point I was making a bill, said Rain Wilson, was in context filled with nuance and vulnerability. Was just like all human beings. I was never really satisfied. Whatever success I had as an anchor, it was never enough. When I was on the office, I went through periods of time when all I could focus on was the things that were not happening in terms of my career, money, fame, envy, prestige.
Here’s the catch in comedy circles in Hollywood. The cool kids all pretend they’re nerds and losers and alienated outcasts. But really that’s just an act, and there’s no greater way to estrange yourself even further from the apex of the comedy industry is when you discuss God, the soul of spirituality everyone in the comedy where old especially are quite literally flushy manifestations of anxious discontent. Actors look for last from sitcom audiences, stand up comedians look for the approval of live audiences and clubs, and comedy artists take to youtubeer TikTok to portray bizarre characters or storylines for likes and fan bases. However, it must be said.
You’re also familiar with this idea if you work in insurance, solar panel sales, uber driving, agriculture, the manicure and pedicure industry, because duca is everywhere these days. I was unfamiliar with the word duca dukha. The Internet tells me it’s commonly translated as suffering or pain rain continued comedy is an active service. The thing that surprised me over the years around the success of the Office was how much it meant to people. The roll the show played in soothing folks during difficult times, providing healing laughter, bringing families together, and healing anxiety.
Humor is the best of all possible medicines. TMZ says Pete Davison is hitting back on the road. Good to hear that Pete is out of rehab. According to TMZ, Pete will do some stand up gigs in Fort Lauderdale, Florida this week. From Rolling Stone, country star Jimmy Allen, who I’m unfamiliar with, apparently two weeks ago, countersued two women who filed lawsuits alleging that the country singer sexually assaulted them.
Well, Jimmy Allen is going to tell jokes on a comedy tour. Now, he announced a brief runt of shows which he’s calling the I Said What I said comedy Tour. He announced this on Instagram. He was smiling and shrugging. According to his insta, the three shows will be in October and our invitation own.
He didn’t announce the cities and where the venues in which he’ll appear. Allen wrote, I said what I said, and I’m gonna say it again during my three night comedy tour coming this October. All shows are invite only, so be sure to sign up with your email via link and bio would receive the latest news and had to win tickets. Apparently, mister Allen will also perform at the first Annual Salute to American Heroes, a fundraising concert in Clear Order, Florida, on November fourth. Jim Gaffigan announced some dates Cairo November sixteenth, re Odd November eighteenth, Dubai.
In November twenty five, Rommy Yuseff was also up at Just for Laughs. He told the audience about his Egyptian born father discouraging him from becoming an entertainer. He was always like, this is a beautiful hobby. For you to have grow the hobby. But I remember him clearly saying one day, real life is going to start.
Rommy also discussed mixing his religion with his performance, saying, I had this big thing when we were shooting the first season of the show and we shot the scene where I was praying, and I was like, should I be doing this? This is weird? This is what I do in my personal time. Did I just sell this to the Disney Corporation some quick cows cleaning? Thanks to Cheryl who bought me two coffees at buy meacoffee dot com slash Daily Comedy News.
That’s a good way to support the show. You got to buy me at coffee dot com slash Daily Comedy News, and there’s some money in the tip jar. When I got the notification that Cheryl had bought two copies, I happened to be at breakfast. I was at Cafe Zara and ann Arbor, Michigan, eating breakfast, and I immediately put the coffee money to use. Thank you, Cheryl.
Also thanks to everybody who weighed in on last week’s interviews. For the most part, they were well received and I’ve been encouraged to do it more. I think I’ll do more around the Toronto Festival.
Also want to shout out Tom who shot me a note about the show about another to…
And to unnamed person, I think you instant messaged me, so since you didn’t do it publicly, I will hold your name back. But you know who you are. Who sent me a note about how to get rid of the pet odor in my basement studio. It seems to be gone today. I wasn’t thinking about it.
David Spade announced the Catch Me Inside tour. It’ll start September twenty three at the Town Hall in New York City, then onto Wilkesbury, Las Vegas, Colorado Springs, Sacramento, Houston, Fort Worth, Las Vegas, Baltimore, Philly. Information at Davidspade dot com. The Fringe Festival starts on Friday. Some of the shows include Dan Tiernan’s Going Under.
It is said that Dan embodies both a giddiness and ferocity on stage, from high energy mania to perfectly crafted gags. He’s especially great at following each winning punch line with an even better topper. He’ll be at the Monkey Barrel. Johnny Pellham’s show is called Optimism Over to Spare. He makes a mockery of the lazy refrain you can’t joke about anything these days.
He is the exceptionability to mind the biggest of last from the darkest of places. He’ll be at the pleasants courtyard upstairs. And a sad note from Jim Jeffreys. Jim has shared a touching tribute to his nephew after confirming that Jim’s nephew is among those presumed dead in a Queensland Army helicopter crash. The Australian Army chopper was conducting a joint military exercise as part of Operation Talesman Saber.
It crashed in the waters off the wit Sunday Islands on Friday. Captain Daniel Lyon, Lieutenant Maxwell Nugent, or an officer class to Joseph Laycock, and Corporal Alexander Naggs were named by the Chief of Army, Lieutenant General Simon Stewart as the four involved in the crash. Lieutenant Nugent is the son of Daniel Nugent, who is the brother of Jeff Nugent, better known by his stage name Jim Jeffries. Jim is flying back to Australia from the US to be a family on Tuesday. He posted on social media.
On Friday, July twenty eighth, my nephew, Lieutenant Max Nugent, died in a tragic helicopter accident that included three other soldiers, Captain Daniel Lyon, Warrant Officer Class two, Joseph Laycock, and Corporal Alexander Nax.
